Solidarity Fund for International Students

The Solidarity Fund for International Students was established in 1976 as an association; in 1982 it was transformed into its current legal form of a foundation. The mission of the Solidarity Fund is to provide financial support for regularly matriculated international students at the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich.

Financial aid is granted to international students who are excluded from receiving federal funds and who are not able to finance their studies through their own efforts or through contributions by their families.

The foundation is funded on a voluntary basis through contributions from professors and students at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich as well as through infrequent private donations.
